Christmas Tree Harvest

This year since we live in an area that has some amazing Christmas trees we decided to go a little earlier and try our hands at chopping one down ourselves. In La Center, WA there are quite a few Christmas tree farms so we went just North and found a really cool farm just outside of town. They had everything you could ever think of to cut down your own tree, hot chocolate, candy canes, and even a little theater that was playing Scrooge (the one with Donald Duck).

They even had the cardboard to kneel down on, because it was really muddy.

Our tree couldn't be more than 6ft. to fit in the car so Preston had a good time measuring which ones we could get. This one would have fit, but we decided to go with one a little bigger:)

Preston even helped Shad cut the tree down:)

I think it was just a tad bigger than what we had planned for:)
BUT IT FIT!!!!

The finished product!!!!!!!

I love my kids

Wow!!! So I totally failed at the whole posting every Sunday thing:) Well I will start trying to be better about posting.

Lately Preston has been really helpful with Bonnie. Mostly Bonnie just really likes ANYTHING that has to do with Preston, so I can just let her hand out by him and he makes her laugh. A couple of weeks ago I was doing something in the kitchen and heard Bonnie laughing. This is what I came out to....

Times like these make me feel so grateful that I have Preston as a child. He is so kind, loving, and caring for his sister as well as most people he comes across. I LOVE THIS KID!!!!!!!

Mom and Jacob visit

My mom and Jacob came to visit us a couple of weeks ago and it was AWESOME!! We went to IKEA, the park, and the OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). We also made sugar cookies for Halloween and had a really great time.

These are the sugar cookies:) This ended with a powdered sugar fight between Shad and I... I don't have those pictures, but I know they were pretty funny.

Preston being a Chemist at the OMSI.... he stayed in the Chemistry lab for a LONG time. I think he will be a whiz at science in school:)
Bonnie also wanted to be a Chemist:)
Bonnie loves her Moby and so do I. It has been super handy when we go places...so nice not to push a stroller when there's a crowd:)
The were building a river...really cool:)
Preston and Shad giving us the weather forecast.... another one of Preston's favorite things to do:)

There was one afternoon where the sun came out so we went to the park:)

Halloween

Halloween was a HUGE success at our house this year. Preston was a knight and Bonnie was a ladybug:) Shad and I were going to dress up but....I forgot to get us costumes. So we made make shift costumes, which means I was a pirate (cause we had all the stuff) and Shad was a zombie:)
Also Grandma Cindy and Jacob got to come out and visit for a couple of days which was really awesome!!!!!!

Bonnie Rolled over

So Bonnie hit her first mobile milestone today... SHE ROLLED OVER!!!! I thought she was going to any day, but this morning I set her down (she rolls from her back to her front) went to the restroom, and when I came back she was on her stomach so I tried to capture it on camera... this is what I got:)

Bonnie Anne Roundy

Bonnie is the best little girl I could have ever asked for. She is so sweet and has such an amazing personality already. She sleeps through the night, smiles so much it's crazy, and talks ALL the time. I love this little girl and her AMAZING blue eyes!!!!!!

New Posts

I have decided that I am going to try (very hard) to post something new every Sunday. Check back later tonight to see what the week has brought us:)!!!!!!!!!!

Love you all

The Rose garden

These are just a couple of the pictures Bethany took when we visited the test gardens. This place is AMAZING there are tons of different kinds of roses for rows and rows and rows:) It smells fantastic and it was so pretty. I think what they do is test which kinds of roses will grow in this climate, and then they have a contest and "crown" a winning breed of roses. SO COOL:)

Next leg of the trip:)

Next we drove through Idaho...it was REALLY boring!!!

Except for the lunch from hell...AKA the lunch that wasn't really a lunch but instead me complaining about the lack of decent food, Preston crying because he didn't want to leave, Shad getting frustrated because I wouldn't stop complaining, and Bethany trying to decide where we were going to stay for the night. Also this bench was so gross that after we left EVERYONE got sanitized:)
Again what would we have done without Bethany:)

The Eldorado Inn... What can I say about this except... DON'T EVER STAY HERE:) Lets put it this way, Shad is usually the most understanding and calm about things. He was FREAKING out in this hotel. He didn't even let Preston walk in the bathroom without shoes. Good thing it was only one night:)

The trip out to WA

So we have finally made it to the West coast... thanks to my sister for her help! We couldn't have done it without her:) The first stop was Park City (Thanks Aunt Kerri and Lee for letting us stay and eat your amazing food!). We got to see Grandma Bonnie and Ralph also! Next we headed to Mapleton to see Grandma Roundy, Jaeson, Sarah, and the boys. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of the boys playing but Preston LOVES his cousins, and they are great influences on him:)

Flying Kites

We decided to bring Preston's kite out and try and fly it... Preston kept the kite up longer than anyone else:)
